Account Executive

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Account Executive is responsible for brokering and managing key clients with a $500,000 revenue target book of business and/or commensurate number of client relationships for commercial lines (i.e., property and casualty), and financial lines (i.e., D&O/E&O Cyber). The Account Executive will be involved in developing and maintaining the client relationship beyond the annual transactional renewal period. An understanding of the insurance market along with building and maintaining strong relationships with our insurer partners is essential. This position has the flexibility to work remotely.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage an assigned book of business.  Build, expand, and solidify relationships with clients and proactively leads marketing and administration needs
  • Coordinates appropriate resources to address the client's risk management needs
  • Secures existing business and drives the sale of additional services and coverage levels with specific goals regarding client retention, growth, achievement of operating margin targets, and fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement 
  • Cultivates relationships with our clients
  • Support a senior Account Executive or a Producer; primary contact when the Account Executive or Producer is not available
  • Adhere to and follow all service protocols for the department, including use of process form and agency management systems
  • Support Producers – prepare or assist in preparation for key prospect/client meetings
  • Compliance with BFSI policies and procedures manual; support quality assurance process

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7 + years of relevant insurance industry experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Appropriate state licensing required
  • Insurance industry designations are preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced level of experience with Excel and PowerPoint

Producer

POSITION SUMMARY:

The commercial lines producer is responsible for initiating new business opportunities and leading client relationships. We are seeking motivated sales professionals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for leading all aspects of client service delivery and business development; work closely with the staff and other producers
  • Coordinate Claims Advocate resources with key clients and prospects
  • Team leadership – assist the team with developing strategy for client goals, manage client expectations, and clear obstacles to achieve team success
  • Active participation with industry associations and trade groups; professional development and/or designations
  • Develop relationship with key insurers
  • Responsible for initiating new business opportunities and coordinate resources with Practice Leader(s)
  • Requires 10% net book growth and new client revenue on an annual basis
  • Understand our client’s business and industry – seek out current news on industry, regulatory, litigation developments
  • Develop a strong relationship with the client and understand their business priorities
  • Continually set a high standard and lead by example
  • Subject to the terms of the Producer Incentive Plan
  • Compliance with BFSI policies and procedures manual; support quality assurance process

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-4+ years of business development experience
  • Relevant insurance industry experience is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Appropriate state licensing required at time of hire or achieved within 90 days of hire date

Business Development and Client Management (High Net Worth Insurance)

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for initiating new business opportunities and servicing an existing book of successful clients. As a Client Manager, you will prospect for business based on your local networks, connections, and communities and focus to develop client and referral opportunities with an emphasis on successful individuals and families in our Personal Lines practice area. In this role, you will consult with clients on the following products: Homeowner, Automobile, Valuable items, Watercraft, Umbrella and Worker’s Compensation. 

The ideal candidate will have experience working with successful families in wealth management, finance, life insurance, real estate and similar disciplines.

POSITION SUMMARY:

B. F. Saul Insurance is seeking an Account Manager who is responsible for underwriting and servicing a designated book of professional liability /E&O business for title agents and abstractors on a nationwide basis. The book of business is high volume, modest premium accounts comprising $546,000 in annual revenue. An understanding of the insurance market along with building and maintaining strong relationships clients are essential.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for growth, retention and client satisfaction when underwriting and servicing of a designated book of professional liability /E&O business for title agents and abstractors.
  • Coordinating all client service needs, including underwriting, submission review, claims, quoting, binding, invoicing, and other administrative duties.
  • Direct responsibility for client retention, growth, achievement of operating margin targets, and fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
  • Work directly with retail broker/agents and wholesalers, as appropriate.
  • Input renewal information into the rating database.
  • Develop and present renewal proposal to client and do appropriate follow up.
  • Provide premium finance options, if requested from the client.
  • Handle all requests for mid-term changes or adjustments to an active policy, including increased limit requests, additional office requests, and Certificate issuance.
  • Utilize agency management system to maintain accurate client, policy, and underwriting documents.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients by executing proactive, creative, and on-going contact initiatives.
  • Maintain privileged and confidential information.

  • 2 + years of relevant insurance industry experience

Account Manager - Commercial

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Account Manager is responsible for brokering and managing clients with a $350,000 revenue target book of business and/or commensurate number of client relationships. The Account Manager will help assess the risk management needs of prospects and clients and will market new and renewal accounts. An understanding of the insurance market along with building and maintaining strong relationships with our insurer partners is essential.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Support Producers and Account Executives
  • Oversee the servicing of a designated book of business as relating to marketing, claims, and administration
  • Utilize system capability (AMS/Vertafore) and properly to maintain complete and accurate client and policy data and documents
  • Recommend potential enhancements or improvements to processes and/or current policies
  • Account round for coverage and/or policies we do not currently handle
  • Review status on open claims
  • Develop renewal coverage specifications
  • Select insurers for submission; negotiate and follow up on quotes and do initial coverage analysis
  • Develop and present renewal proposal to client on own book or in coordination with Account Executive with detailed year over year comparison of all elements of program
  • Bind and invoice programs with carriers– review and submit to client
  • Facilitate premium financing
  • Follow up on policy/endorsement issuance and check policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy prior to client delivery
  • Complete Surplus Lines filing, if applicable
  • Issue Certificate of Insurance
  • Follow up for premium payment to insurer

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of relevant insurance industry experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Appropriate state licensing required
  • Insurance industry designations are preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced level of experience with Excel and PowerPoint
