BFSI supports community at the Catholic Charities Cup of Joe program

Written by Lee Marshall on

BF Saul Insurance (BFSI), a Bethesda, MD based regional insurance brokerage and risk advisory firm, volunteers at the Cup of Joe. The team spent the morning packing individual bags containing breakfast items for the Catholic Charities “Cup of Joe” program. Cup of Joe and the Catholic Charities depends on volunteers like the BF Saul Insurance team to support community programs.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  For the men and women staying in low-barrier overnight emergency shelters and 3 of the transitional shelters operated bB.F. Saul Insurance Volunteersy Catholic Charities, mornings often begin on an empty stomach. To meet this need, Catholic Charities seeks volunteer groups to assemble healthy “breakfast to-go” bags to be distributed to these shelters, which together provide a safe bed for 1,000+ women and men each night.

On November 30, 2018, the BF Saul Insurance team stepped in.  Gathering in Glen Arden, MD, the team engaged in a little friendly competition for this fun and fast-paced event.  Hands flew and supplies disappeared from pallets as the teams assembled bags and they were stacked into bins for delivery.
