Hurricane Season Awareness & Preparation Guide | B. F. Saul Insurance

Written by B. F. Saul Insurance | Jun 30, 2022

Each year, the beginning of the season comes with a prediction from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This year the NOAA predicted an "above-average" hurricane season meaning many areas will see 3 to 6 hurricanes this season, at least. It is important to reach out to an insurance provider for adequate coverage for your property.

Key information from the guide:

• NOAA is predicting an “above-average” hurricane season, including 3-6 hurricanes
• Peak is expected between August and October
• Texas-Louisiana coasts have been hit harder in the last 2 years (than Florida)
• Insurability can be improved with a proper flood elevation certificate and wind mitigation report
